Katherine
A. Gonos, “Katie”, received her bachelor’s
degree in 2002 from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. She
earned her Juris Doctor from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing,
Michigan in 2006. During her last semester in law school, Katie
was an extern for The Honorable Thomas I. Vanaskie, United States
District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Katie
was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2006. Upon graduation,
Katie accepted a position as an assistant public defender in the
Waycross Judicial Circuit. Katie then transferred to the Southern
Judicial Circuit serving as an assistant public defender in Moultrie,
Georgia.
Katie is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Valdosta Bar Association,
the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Valdosta
Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Katie concentrates her practice in criminal defense and domestic
relations. She represents clients in felony, misdemeanor, and
traffic cases. Katie also represents clients in contested
and uncontested divorces, child-custody hearings, alimony and child
support hearings, adoptions, and post-divorce proceedings. |
